Federal Minister of Finance and Minister of Special Functions, Tun Daim Zainuddin recently officiated the launching ceremony of upgrading Pusa/Beladin/Maludam/Triso Road in Sri Aman Division. The ceremony, which was held on 11 September 2000 took place in Pusa, Sri Aman.

The project, valued at RM125 million, involves upgrading the existing 52 km road to a two-lane tar-sealed road and the construction of 1 ferry ramp crossing Sungai Saribas in Pusa. PPES Works (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd is the main contractor of this project. The project is expected to be completed by 2003.

Also present at the ceremony were the Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Haji Abdul Taib Mahumd, Federal and State Cabinet Ministers and local dignitaries.
